Preparation for the Canadian Certificate in Adult Education (CAEC)

The Canadian Adult Education Certificate is your new ticket to employment or further education. We’ll prepare you in the five key subjects: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.

  • Who is it for? for adults who do not have a high school diploma but need a credential to access new training or job opportunities, or as a measure of academic achievement. In Manitoba, individuals who pass the CAEC tests can receive a high school equivalency certificate (not a diploma).
  • Condition: eligibility is limited to Manitoba residents aged 19 or older who have not completed high school.
  • Availability: this program is coming soon. The CAEC replaces the DEG (Diplôme d’études générales) that we previously offered, and resources for French are currently being developed.

« I appreciate how accessible this course is for promoting French language learning. Having the course available online makes it easy to fit into my weekly routine with my family. As my daughters begin their education in French, it’s important for me to improve my understanding of the language. I’ve gained confidence in my pronunciation and vocabulary throughout the course. Before the course, I knew many French words but had trouble forming sentences with them. Now, I’m gaining the ability to have conversations with my children and my husband. Thank you, Guy. »
