Privacy Policy
The privacy policy is designed to inform visitors about the practices followed on the Pluri-elles website.
Who we are
- We are a nonprofit organization funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of Manitoba.
- Our website is: pluri-elles.mb.ca.
Comments
When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, are collected to help us detect spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Medias
If you are a registered user and upload images to the website, we recommend that you avoid uploading images that contain GPS location data in their EXIF metadata. Visitors to your website may download and extract location data from these images.
Contact forms and cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you will be given the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is solely for your convenience, so you won’t have to re-enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to store your login information and screen preferences. A session cookie lasts for two days, while a display preference cookie lasts for one year. If you check “Remember Me,” your session cookie will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the session cookie will be deleted.
When you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply contains the ID of the post you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites
The articles on this site may include embedded content (such as videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site directly.
A free, royalty-free license for the commercial use of images, illustrations, and photos.
This website may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and track your interactions with this embedded content if you have an account logged in on their website.
Data retention periods
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments instead of holding them in the moderation queue.
For users who register on our site (where available), we also store the personal data they provide in their profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
Your rights regarding your data
If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including the data you have provided to us. You can also request that your personal data be deleted. This does not apply to data stored for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Sharing of Your Personal Data
Visitor comments can be moderated using an automated spam detection service.

We will only send you emails that you have agreed to receive, or that relate to the services we provide to you.
To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provided. Our site also stores the IP address you used when you created an account for the service in order to prevent system abuse.
This site may send emails through the MailPoet email marketing service. This service allows us to track clicks and opens of our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.
No personally identifiable information is collected outside of this site, with the exception of email addresses.
